Dr. Peter Edwards is a marine scientist and environmental economist dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions for Jamaica's coastal ecosystems. Serving as a council member of the Jamaica Institute of Environmental Professionals and the environment sector lead for the Global Jamaica Diaspora Council, Dr. Edwards advocates for urgent action on critical environmental issues, particularly the growing threat of plastic pollution and the need to protect Jamaica's coastal ecosystems. His leadership in these areas is driven by a deep passion for creating impactful change, both locally and globally.
